General

  • We are Michigan’s first stand-alone claw machine arcade! You’ve likely seen this type of arcade game everywhere from the entrance to a grocery store to a big family entertainment center. However, what makes us unique is an arcade with only this type of game. Clawcades are very popular in Japan, Korea and Taiwan as well as major cities within North America that have a large concentration of an Asian population such as Toronto, New York and Las Vegas.

  • When entering the arcade, you can purchase tokens either with the help of an arcade associate or through a token exchange machine. We accept credit card and cash. Once you’ve decided on your token package, take the basket of tokens around the arcade to scope out your favorite plushie prizes! Play the game using the tokens. Each machine is priced accordingly. Using the joystick/buttons, move the claw to the best position over the prize you’re trying to get. When ready, press the button to drop the claw down and attempt to grab the prize.

  • Kawaii is a Japanese word that generally means “cute,” “adorable” or “loveable.” It started as a Japanese cultural phenomenon but has become popular globally. The style places emphasis on cute, childlike innocence and simple charm, often depicted through features like big, expressive eyes, sweet smiles, pastel colors and soft designs. Klawsome! lets customers experience these Kawaii trends through their winnable kawaii-style plushies!

  • The regular size machines are two tokens per play ($2/play) and the mini size machines are one token per play ($1/play).

  • There is a bit of luck and a bit of strategy involved. (Follow our social media channels to see some hard fought #winnerscirclemoments from our own children, as well as tips from experienced players and persistent players.) If you’ve won, the prize will drop down the chute for you to take home and enjoy! If you’re having trouble with a particular machine and/or do not like the prize you got, please do not leave discouraged. Ask a friendly associate for help - We want everyone to go home happy!

  • We recommend the following: 325 tokens ($250 package) per group of five kids. This breaks down to 50 tokens per child, with 75 tokens in reserve to give out to kids that need help. 

    Please note you may only purchase additional tokens (beyond basic $250 package) in-store for events. We appreciate your understanding.

Plushies, Upgrades, & Trade-Ins

  • We have a full wall at the redemption counter of other larger and more rare prizes. There is a points system that a friendly associate can explain.

  • Yes! You can trade in the plushies from the regular size machines, as well as swap prizes within the same machine.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot accept upgrades on plushies that leave the store for sanitary purposes. However, we will have a fun Stamp Card option! If you’re not interested in taking home the plushie(s) you’ve won, each plushie from a regular size machine equals one stamp on the card. After one or more visits and filling out the card with stamps, you can upgrade to a larger plushie or more rare prize.

  • Unfortunately, the mini prizes are not part of the upgrade program. However, these machines usually have adorable options and are situated at a height that are for our youngest players, so our helpful associates will at least encourage and teach our little ones how to play and win!

Miscellaneous

  • Sakura Novi is Klawsome’s home, a hub of Asian culture and cuisine in Metro Detroit and considered the new downtown of Novi. The mixed use development features professional offices, a pond and gardens, residential townhome apartments, and a retail and a vibrant restaurant collection. Alongside Klawsome! in this collection are Asian-themed businesses like Paris Baguette, Presotea, Book Off, Mikaya Hot Pot, and Teso Life.   • We will eventually make this an option for any popups, festivals and other local events!

  • We plan to offer parties and booking will be available on our website beginning this fall.

  • We will offer pre-packaged Asian snacks soon. However, our neighboring establishments will be a mix of fast casual and sit-down restaurants with a range of similarly themed Asian options from bubble tea to baked goods. We are planning to offer special discounts or deals between businesses!

  • Klawsome will provide two rectangular tables, one round table, and stools for children. Folding chairs for adults are available upon request.

  • Yes. Balloon decorations can be added to themed party décor for an additional touch.

  • Yes. Clients may come in-store during Klawsome’s regular hours to pick up a birthday bag as long as they are subscribed to Klawsome’s eNewsletter.

  • Yes! Klawsome does not provide food/beverages, so feel free to bring any food, cake, beverages, etc. We have a variety of recommended vendors listed on our website for food, photography, balloons, and more. 

    For semi private with Paris Baguette, outside food is not permitted- purchase of food from Paris Baguette is required.

  • Klawsome does not provide a refund for a cancellation made 5 days or less before the event. If a client does not receive a refund, they may redeem all of their purchased tokens in store at a later date. Clients that make a cancellation more than 5 days in advance receive a full refund.

    Klawsome asks that guests cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If an unintended circumstance arises, we completely understand, but we kindly ask that the client contacts Klawsome as soon as possible.

  • Private parties are reservation-only in which families have exclusive, uninterrupted access to all Klawsome! machines

    Public/semi-private parties do not require a reservation (but highly recommended for the best customer experience). Clients may come in-store during Klawsome!’s regular hours for a birthday celebration (take out and replace with “birthday bag”) NOT birthday celebration, as long as they are subscribed to Klawsome!’s enewsletter 

    Both events are tons of fun!

  • Yes. For semi-private events hosted with Paris Baguette, outside food is not permitted. Food must be purchased directly from Paris Baguette.

  • Klawsome provides two rectangular tables, one round table, and stools for children. Folding chairs for adults are available upon request.

  • Yes. For photography inquiries or additional party arrangements, please contact us prior to your event. We can also provide a list of recommended vendors for party services, upon request.

  • The themed decorations include streamers, paper plates, tablecloths, props, and balloons.
